When You Don’t Know Where to Start, Why Not Begin With Your Shoes?

I might be in the minority when it comes to wedding planning. Nearly every female friend I discuss marriage with has a list of criteria and expectations for her wedding day that she’s been working on for years (or decades). Me on the other hand? I have no idea.

Call me unromantic, but it’s not something I’ve thought much about up until a few weeks ago. And now that I’m here, I’m a little lost on where to start!

Up until Dusan popped the big question on February 14, 2019, the concept of planning a real wedding seemed pretty farfetched to me. Not that we hadn’t discussed marriage beforehand. He’s the sweetest guy and talks about our future frequently. Being the über-practical “I won’t believe it ’till I see it” sort of gal, I continued to put off wedding bell thoughts in favour of: “is this the year I finally see a therapist?” and “what paint colour should I use in my office?“. But I digress.

Wedding Planning… Me?

So here I am. Little ol‘ me planning to wed the man of my dreams! I’m trying not to let my head spin. There are so many things I need to prepare for! When is the wedding? Where? Do I need to find caterers? Will the caterers have vegan options? And, of course, there’s the most burning question: What the heck am I going to wear?

I’ve already secured the dress. Yes. Really.

But now I need to find the right shoes for the occasion. And I’m not willing to compromise on style, comfort, or ethics. I am looking for chic, sustainable vegan wedding shoes. And they need to be wearable for many hours.

If the Shoe Fits…

Veerah is the first brand that comes to mind for me. You may remember me gushing about their stunning and sustainable vegan high heels in this post. And let me tell you, I wear these high heels constantly: at the office, to dinner, various events, and even at my big presentation in Dallas, Texas last month. The Frida is a classic, elegant design that is super walkable and ideal for all-day wear. The design clearly takes comfort into consideration with multiple, built-in pads to prevent foot and arch pain.

Needless to say, I’ve been considering buying a second (or third!) pair of vegan high heel shoes from Veerah. Now seems like the *perfect* time to peruse their newly launched sustainable vegan wedding shoes!

Veerah’s Champagne Blush collection was released just a few months ago. (Perfect timing, right?) They have introduced the new ‘Champagne Blush’ colour to their classic luxury vegan leather line up. Although designed with brides in mind, these shoes are great for everyday wear too.

As you know, I don’t like being wasteful! So I want to invest in heels that I can wear again and again. Veerah designs are intended to be versatile, which I love. Each pair can be customized with accessories like ankle straps, tassels, and clip-on accents. Any of these sustainable vegan wedding shoes would be a perfect fit, don’t you think?
