Embracing Dewy Skin and Warm, Cinnamon Inspired Colors

Dewy skin and warm colors are the way to go if you’re not ready to commit fully to the bitterly cold days of December. Embrace the warmer side of the season with a radiant complexion and cinnamon-inspired hues.

Remember, the key is to achieving an ethereal, non-fussy look is lighter yet purposeful application. I still don’t wear foundation, so all of these products are being demoed on well moisturized skin. No primer. No foundation. So yes, you can see my pores and some hair follicles. But that’s exactly what gives my makeup looks a convincing feel. It’s not a mask. It’s an enhancement. The Vegan Makeup Products I’m Obsessed With Right Now

When it comes to makeup, I’ll always advocate on choosing quality over quantity. You know I like to focus on skincare. And skincare should be your base for any makeup look! But I also want to share some recent vegan makeup finds that have really impressed me.

These products not only deliver stunning results but also align with my values of being cruelty-free and vegan: 

• Patrick Ta bronzer and contour in the shade ‘She’s Sculpted’: Achieve a beautifully sculpted look with this versatile cream and powder duo.
• Charlotte Tilbury ‘Eyes to Mesmerize’ in the shade Pillow Talk: Don’t limit yourself to just eyeshadow! I love using this as a blush for a rosy glow. And a recent technique I’ve been obsessed with is dabbing the blush just below the eye socket. If aren’t blessed with high cheekbones, then this creates an optical illusion of fleshy-fullness higher on the face.
• Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in the shade Bronzed Garnet for Green Eyes: Make your eyes pop with this stunning eyeshadow pencil.
• Pixi Makeup Eyeliners: These eyeliners not only offer a wide range of shades but also provide excellent pigmentation and smooth application. Plus, they won’t break the bank!
• Merit Dayglow highlight stick in the shade Cava: Get that coveted dewy glow with this luminous highlighter. It’s not glittery, it’s gleam-ery.
• MILK sunshine concealer: Say adieu to under-eye dryness and discolouration with this lightweight skincare-concealer hybrid. I’m using shade 2 here.
• Lawless Conceal the Deal full coverage concealer: I use shade Marcona as a ‘skin hi-light’ to create raised dimension in areas of may face that get deep shadows.
• Ilia lipstick in the shade Cinnabar: Complete your look with a bold and long-lasting lip shade in a flattering red. I’m have neutral olive undertones, so warm brick reds or coral reds look lively on me. If you are cool toned, opt for reds with purple or wine-like hues instead.

Step-by-Step Instructions to Recreate This Eye Makeup

Start by selecting an eyeliner or eye shadow color that is opposite the color of your iris. Unsure? Charlotte Tilbury has an eye pencil line called Colour Chameleon made for specific iris hues.

In the case of green or hazel eyes, red makes green pop the most. However, putting red near your eyes can make it appear like you’ve been crying or suffering an allergic reaction. (I’ve been asked “what’s wrong?” and “Are you okay??” both times I tried it.) So if you have green or hazel eyes, try a purple or brown with rich red undertones. I’m using the Colour Chameleon pencil in Bronzed Garnet here.

Regardless of your main iris color, metallics will draws attention to the eyes and makes them shine. Though it’s particularly excellent against warm brown eyes, a true warm gold won’t be the most flattering for every eye shade. So consider copper, pale-gold, or shimmering pearl metallics too. In the case of hazel eyes, which are part yellow-brown and part yellow-green, incorporating a red-purple/red-brown shade with a warm gold will allow the duality of your iris to stand out more than any single color.
